Week 2 Running Review

Its only my second week and already i have had a slow week!

Monday - 1.5 miles - 12.53 mins - 8.36 min mile pace.

Wednesday - meeting in london so missed run (oppps)

Friday - My running partner has a dodgy knee so didnt end up running, slack i know!!!!

Monday i will be putting up my weight and other stats, even though its bank holiday i have a gym routine booked and a 2 mile run.  Glad my blip weeks over and done with.

First domain name sale to raise funds

domain sale As well as raising money via sponsorship & adverts on this site, i have also decided to give 20% of the sale price of several hundred domain names i am selling to charity.

The names have been promoted on several domain name forums and are already selling well (11 names sold in less than 30 mins) meaning approx £140 for the pot.

Week 1 Running Review

Well week 1 of my pre marathon training is now over, stats below:

Monday - 1.5 miles - time unknow.

Wednesday - 1.5 miles - 14.11 mins - 9.45 min mile pace

Friday - 1.5 miles - 13.19 mins - 8.52 min mile pace

Next week i will put in more details and outline fitness levels / weight etc too.

In a few weeks time i will also either add a 4th run or move on the the runs to the weekend and make that my long run.

Garmin 305 Forerunner Review

forerunner 305 I have been talking for a while now about getting a GPS running watch, but unless you are doing lots of running it seems a little excessive. Well i am now doing a marathon, so it seems like the only thing to do.

I ordered it on the 12th of May and it arrived on the 13th (well done Amazon).

I am running the London Marathon 2009

Most of those who know me, know i have been talking for years about running the London marathon. I did apply a few times, but never made it in. So this year i decided i will run the marathon no matter what.

Once i had entered the online ballot, I contacted a few charities and proposed a deal which was that i would run the marathon for their charity and start to raise money for them today. If i got into the marathon on the ballot then i would give them the place back so allocate to someone else. The cherry was if i didn’t raise the minimum needed for the place by October then they could take my place and give it to someone else any way. Very much a risk free situation for any charity to be in… well you would think so.
