Giving hope to sick children and their families
Great Ormond Street Hospital is a world-class children’s hospital, with the broadest range of paediatric specialists under one roof anywhere in the UK. They welcome around 150,000 patient visits each year, treating patients with the most complex, life-threatening or life-limiting conditions and are totally committed to finding treatments and cures for some of the rarest and most difficult illnesses.
GOSH rank with the small handful of truly word-class children’s hospitals but delivering this standard of treatment, care and research is not cheap.
Many of their patients and their families are treated in conditions which are crowded, uncomfortable, lacking in privacy and falling short of what our families and staff deserve. For example cardiac intensive care offers each patient only one-third of the space our staff say they need. To deliver the best modern care they need to redevelop the hospital.
They need to raise £50 million each year.
